Scotair Balloons services include Advertising Balloons, Hot Air Balloon management, Hot Air Balloon sales, Cold Air Inflatables and Champagne Hot Air Balloon Flights.

Scotair Balloons offer hot air balloon flights from Biggar, Lanark, Broughton and Crossford in theClyde Valley all within a short drive of the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, Central Scotland and the Scottish Borders.

Although other operators may claim to operate balloon flights from Biggar, South Lanarkshire, we are the only operator actually based here.We have a range oranging from a one-man, five-man and a twelve-man.

All our balloon rides are scheduled in Scotland, seven days a week, from April 1st to the end of October. As with all balloon trips, they are at the mercy of the weather. Patience is always required but the wait will be worth it.

Our flights leave from various locations in the area including Monteith House near Lanark, the Shieldhill Castle Hotel near Biggar, Biggar Show Ground Glenholm Wildlife Project, the Broomlee Centre in West Linton, Crossford and Peebles. We do have a few contingency sites in the area which may be used at very short notice. This area was chosen for its wonderful scenery and road layouts. You will also see an abundance of wild life including Deer, Fox, Buzzards and Pink Footed Geese.

Based in South Lanarkshire, Scotair Balloons are Scotland’s longest established professional Hot Air Balloon operator Certificated by the CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY in 1992. We have since flown approximately 8000 passengers in Scotland and operated Hot Air Balloons throughout the UK and Europe. Graeme Houston, our Chief Pilot is the only Scottish Pilot living and working in Scotland and is the most experienced Commercial Balloon Pilot in the Country, with one the best safety records in the industry.

Private flights are becoming very popular and now make up 20% of our enquiries. These flights are done in our 4-5 man Balloon and can where possible be from your chosen location.

We have been flying the largest passenger balloons in the North of the UK since 1998 and the time has come to drop back down and enjoy the flying in smaller balloons a thought which our Chief Pilot Graeme Houston is very excited about.

Scotair Balloons also operate and manage Advertising Hot Air Balloons. These Balloons can be in any design and virtually any shape. There is no other advertising medium that can attract as much attention. We operate 2 Hot Air Balloons for Re/Max-Scotland. Re/Max have worldwide a fleet of well over 100 balloons. In 2007 we started flying two new balloons for Robert Wiseman Dairies. Scotair also offer Thermal Airships.
